How do I add a trader?
Quick answer
Open Traders and create a trader record with the person's name and email. You can then assign one or more trading accounts to that record. Traders do not sign up themselves, and a trader record is not a login: the trader logs in to the terminal with an account's credentials.
Detailed answer
Trader records are how your firm organises who holds which account.
What a trader record holds
- Name and email.
- The accounts assigned to it, current and past.
Creating one
- In the admin panel, from the Traders page.
- Over the API, implicitly: assigning an account by name and email creates the trader record if none exists for that email.
What the record enables
- Seeing all of a person's accounts in one place.
- The terminal's account switcher, which lists every account under the same email.
- Clean reassignment when an account changes hands.
Archiving
Archive a trader record you no longer need. Restore it if they return.
What PropExecutor does not store
No identity documents, addresses or payment details. KYC and payments stay with your own providers; match their records to the trader's email. Using the same email across your checkout, KYC and PropExecutor makes that matching automatic.
