How do I create a trading account?

Account creation is designed to be quick and repeatable.

Steps

1. Open Accounts and choose to create accounts.
2. Pick the account type, which sets the starting balance and rule set.
3. Choose the quantity, up to 100 per request.
4. Optionally choose a trader to assign them to.
5. Confirm. Each account uses one credit.

What each new account receives

• Account number: 8 digits, sequential, permanent.
• Password: generated by the platform, visible in the account's drawer.
• Rule version: the account type's current rule set version, frozen for the account's life.
• Starting balance: from the account type.

If credits run out

The request is refused, with the number of credits remaining and links to top-up packs and upgrades. Existing accounts are not affected.

Credits and the transaction

The credit is used in the same database transaction that creates the account, so two people creating accounts at the same moment can never overspend the pool.
