Do white-label providers set my challenge rules?

Quick answer

No, you set your rules, but the provider determines which rules are possible and how they are calculated. If a rule you want is missing, or is calculated differently from how you describe it, you inherit that limitation. Review the rule catalogue and calculations before signing.

Detailed answer

Questions to ask about rules:

  • Which rules exist: daily loss, maximum loss, trailing drawdown, consistency, minimum days, lot limits, news, weekend holding?
  • Is daily loss based on balance, equity or the higher of the two?
  • When does the trading day reset?
  • Is maximum loss static or trailing?
  • Are rules checked on every tick?
  • Can rules be changed without affecting existing accounts?

PropExecutor documents each rule in its rule builder, for example that the maximum loss limit is a static floor under the starting balance and that daily loss resets each UTC day. Rule sets are versioned, so changes only apply to new accounts.

Test before selling

Configure your rules on a test account and check each one against your written rules page.

When a rule is missing

Ask whether it is on the provider's roadmap, or whether a custom rule can express it. If neither, decide whether your product can work without it before signing.
