Can I change my firm's name later?
Quick answer
Yes. Your firm's display name can be changed at any time in the admin panel, and the terminal shows the new name to traders. Only the server name, which traders type at login, is fixed once your firm has trading accounts.
Detailed answer
PropExecutor separates the two names on purpose.
Display name
- Shown on the terminal, the login screen and in branding.
- Can be edited whenever you rebrand.
- Changing it does not affect anyone's login.
Server name
- Typed by traders at login.
- Locked once you have created trading accounts.
Rebranding checklist
- Update the display name.
- Upload the new logos (dark and light versions on Basic and above).
- Update the accent colour, login screen text and support links.
- Tell traders about the change, noting that their login details stay the same.
How quickly changes appear
Branding is cached for speed and refreshed when you save, so traders see the change on their next page load rather than after a long delay. Browsers may keep the previous logo for a few minutes.
Things a rename does not touch
- Account numbers and passwords.
- Rule sets and the versions accounts are frozen to.
- Trader records and their accounts.
- API keys and integrations.
A rebrand is therefore a purely visual change for your traders, which makes it safe to do while accounts are live.
