How do I see why an account breached?
Quick answer
Open the account in the admin panel to see its status, the time it changed and the recorded reason, including which rule ended it. The same information is in the API's account report, where the rule that ended the account comes first in a list of breaches with observed and threshold values.
Detailed answer
Every breach is recorded with its cause when it happens.
In the admin panel
- Status: breached, with the time it changed.
- Reason: the rule and a description, such as the daily loss limit with the floor and equity.
- Rule flags: any flagged behaviour recorded before the breach.
- Trades: the history leading up to it.
In the API report
GET /v1/accounts/{number}/report includes an evaluation block where breaches are listed as rule codes such as DAILY_DRAWDOWN or MAX_LOSS_LIMIT, each with severity, the observed value, the threshold and a message. The first entry is the rule that ended the account; others the account is also past are listed after it.
Manual breaches
A breach entered by your team carries its own text reason rather than a rule code.
Using it in support
Quote the rule, time and figures in your reply to the trader. Because the trader saw the same headroom in their dashboard, the explanation usually closes the question.
