Does PropExecutor execute real trades?
Quick answer
No. Every order on PropExecutor is filled by its simulator against live prices from a cTrader feed. Nothing is sent to a broker or exchange. Prices, spreads and market movement are real; the fills, balances and positions exist only inside the firm's simulated accounts.
Detailed answer
Simulation is the core design decision of the platform.
How a market order works
- The trader submits a buy or sell order in the terminal.
- The order passes the firm's rules and the margin check inside one database transaction.
- It fills at the live ask (buy) or bid (sell) from the feed at that moment.
- The position appears in the terminal and its profit and loss updates on every tick.
How pending orders and stops work
Buy and sell limit and stop orders wait for the live price to reach their level. Stops and take profits close positions when the price crosses them, tested against the side of the quote the position closes on. If the market gaps through a level, the fill is the first live price beyond it, as in real markets.
What is not modelled
Commission and swap are not currently applied, so the trader's results reflect price movement and spread only. Firms should mention this in their rules.
Why it matters to traders
Traders trust results when the prices match the market. Using a live feed at raw spreads, without a markup, keeps simulated performance close to what the trader would see at a broker.
