Where is PropExecutor hosted?
Quick answer
PropExecutor's backend runs on Google Cloud, with accounts and trades in PostgreSQL, live prices in Redis, price history in ClickHouse, and branding assets in Google Cloud Storage. The public websites are served through a global hosting platform. Every firm's data is kept separate at the database level by row-level security.
Detailed answer
A short overview of how the platform is run:
Backend
- A single Go service handling the API, the terminal's live connection, execution and the rule engine.
- Designed to run as more than one instance behind a load balancer, with a reconciler keeping instances consistent.
- PostgreSQL for accounts, trades and rules; Redis for live prices; ClickHouse for price history and analytics.
Data separation
Every firm's records carry its organization identifier, and the database enforces row-level security, so one firm's session cannot read another firm's data even if application code made a mistake. Cross-firm operator access goes through a separate, dedicated database role.
Price feed
Live prices come from a cTrader connection and are shared across all firms; each firm's accounts fill against the same market prices.
Assets
Logos and favicons are stored in Google Cloud Storage and served publicly so the terminal can display them.
Sessions and access
Trader sessions are short-lived tokens tied to one trading account, refreshed in the background. Rotating an account's password, reassigning it or archiving it revokes every live session for that account, so access can be cut off immediately.
