Does the terminal show daily loss and maximum loss headroom?

Quick answer

Yes. The dashboard shows the daily loss limit's floor and remaining headroom, based on the day's opening value, and the maximum loss floor based on the starting balance, both updated live with equity. Traders can see exactly how much more they can lose before either limit is reached.

Detailed answer

These two limits end most accounts, so they are shown prominently.

Daily loss headroom

  • Opening value: the higher of balance and equity at the start of the UTC day.
  • Floor: opening value minus the daily limit.
  • Headroom: current equity minus the floor.

Maximum loss headroom

  • Floor: starting balance minus the maximum loss percentage, fixed for the account's life.
  • Headroom: current equity minus the floor.

Worked example

A $50,000 account with a 5% daily limit and a 10% maximum loss. The day opens at $51,200 (balance $51,200, equity $50,900). Daily floor: $51,200 − $2,560 = $48,640. Maximum loss floor: $45,000. With equity at $50,100, daily headroom is $1,460 and maximum headroom $5,100. The daily limit is the closer one today.

Why consistency matters

Some platforms calculate headroom differently in the dashboard and in the rule engine, which shows traders room they do not have. PropExecutor's dashboard and engine use the same basis, including the static maximum loss floor and the higher-of opening value.
