Does PropExecutor support an inactivity rule?
Quick answer
Yes, on Basic and Growth. The inactivity breach rule ends an account that has not traded for a set number of days. It is the one rule checked by a clock, through an hourly sweep, because inactivity has no price or order event to trigger it. It only ever moves an active account to breached.
Detailed answer
Inactivity rules keep your account book clean without imposing a hard deadline.
How it works
- Set the number of days, for example 30.
- An hourly check finds active accounts with no trading in that period.
- Those accounts are breached with a recorded reason.
Why it is the only scheduled rule
Every other rule fires on an event: a price tick, an order, a trade closing. Inactivity is the absence of events, so it needs a schedule. It was made the single sanctioned exception, and it touches nothing but the account's status.
Uses
- Evaluations: remove abandoned challenges.
- Funded accounts: require active trading.
- Replacing time limits: traders have unlimited time as long as they keep trading.
Communicating it
Tell traders the number of days, and consider reminding them by email before it applies.
What counts as activity
Opening a trade resets the inactivity clock. Simply logging in to the terminal does not, because the rule measures trading, not visits.
Recorded reason
An inactivity breach is recorded like any other breach, with its rule and reason, and appears in reports with the code INACTIVITY.
