How do MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade and TradeLocker differ for prop firms?
Quick answer
MetaTrader 5, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade and TradeLocker are established trading platforms used by prop firms, sold through licences or white labels, with different prop features, price models and access rules. MetaTrader access for prop firms has been restricted since 2024. Most of them do not publish prices.
Detailed answer
A summary from the vendors' own pages (checked October 2026):
- MetaTrader 5: the most familiar terminal to traders; licensing is through brokers, and MetaQuotes restricted prop firm use in 2024. No published prices.
- cTrader: offers a prop firm programme with native mobile apps and back office; no published prices.
- Match-Trader: publishes white-label pricing from $2,500 a month, with a turnkey option including a prop CRM.
- DXtrade: Devexperts' platform; its own blog mentioned a basic package at $5,000 without stating whether that is one-time or recurring.
- TradeLocker: offers a white-label platform; no published prices.
PropExecutor differs in model: it is built only for simulated prop evaluation, with the rule engine and dashboard included, sold as a one-time payment from $129. It does not include a trader CRM, checkout or payouts, which some turnkey packages do.
