Best Prop Firm Software in 2026: 20 Platforms Compared

Twenty prop firm platforms and back offices mapped by layer, with each vendor's own published price and date, and plain guidance on who each one suits.

There is no single best prop firm software; the right choice depends on which layers you need. Full-stack vendors such as Match-Trader, Fintatech and FXPropTech bundle a CRM and payments with the platform. PropExecutor covers only the terminal, rule engine, dashboard and API, from $129 once. We compared 20 vendors on 3 October 2026 and group them by fit rather than ranking them.

Disclosure: this page is published by the PropExecutor team, and PropExecutor is one of the 20 entries. We score it on the same terms as the others, do not put it first by default, and say where other vendors are the better fit.

What prop firm software actually includes

A prop firm software stack is the set of tools that lets a firm sell evaluations, run traders through them and manage funded accounts. It has four separate layers:

  1. Trading platform. The terminal traders log into and the execution behind it, such as MetaTrader 5, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade or TradeLocker.
  2. Rule engine and risk. The system that tracks each account's profit target, daily loss limit and maximum drawdown, and flags a breach.
  3. CRM, admin and back office. Trader records, account provisioning, challenge configuration and reporting.
  4. Checkout, KYC and payouts. Selling the challenge, verifying identity and paying funded traders.

A full-stack or turnkey vendor covers all four layers. Other vendors cover one or two, and the firm assembles the rest. White-label branding sits across these layers; our page on what a white-label prop firm is and how it works explains it.

How we built this comparison

Every statement about another vendor comes from that vendor's own public page, linked in the tables and checked on 3 October 2026.

  • Not tested. We have not tested these products and make no claim about their quality, stability or customers.
  • "Not listed" means not on the checked page. It does not mean the vendor lacks the feature, so ask the vendor directly.
  • Grouped by fit, not ranked. A turnkey stack and a terminal-only product solve different problems, so we match vendors to situations instead of giving one overall score.
  • Client counts are excluded. Self-reported client counts on vendor homepages cannot be verified and do not affect placement.

Market map: prop firm software providers by layer

This matrix lists 20 prop firm technology providers and the layers each one's own page mentions, using the vendor's wording where possible. The Type column is our summary: "platform" means a trading platform vendor; "full stack" means the page lists a CRM plus at least one of checkout, payments, KYC or payouts; "own" or "third-party" says whose trading platform it runs on.

The trading platforms: MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade, TradeLocker

A trading platform is the software that shows prices, takes orders and holds positions. The five platform vendors publish the following:

  • cTrader. Spotware's prop firm page lists native iOS and Android apps, a back office, risk management features, the cTrader price feed, free prop trial accounts, and challenge listings and leads on ctrader.com. No price is published.
  • MetaTrader 5. MetaQuotes' broker page lists Entry, Standard and Enterprise licences for brokers. The page does not mention prop firms and publishes no price.
  • Match-Trader. Match-Trader's turnkey page combines its platform with a prop CRM, Match2Pay payments, VWAP-based demo execution and 24/7 support.
  • DXtrade. Devexperts' DXtrade blog post describes a white-label platform with CRM, market data and liquidity provider integrations.
  • TradeLocker. TradeLocker's white-label page offers the platform to brokers and prop firms, with a back office and 24/7 technical support. No price is published.

Many of the full-stack vendors in the matrix list integrations with these platforms on their own pages, so choosing a CRM and choosing a platform can be two separate decisions.

Prop firm software pricing: one-time, monthly or revenue share

Prop firm software is sold under three cost models, sometimes combined: a one-time payment, a monthly licence (often tiered by account count) or a revenue share (a percentage of sales or profit). Of the 20 vendors, eight publish a figure: PropExecutor, FXPropTech, Fintatech, Match-Trader, PropAccount, PropSuite, Quadcode and DXtrade. The other twelve price on request. All figures below are the vendors' own, checked on 3 October 2026.

How to compare the cost models

Each model grows differently, so annualise every quote before comparing:

  • Monthly licence: annual cost = monthly fee × 12 + setup fee + overage. Example: a firm on a $1,000/month tier pays $12,000 a year in recurring fees before setup. FXPropTech's $1,000/month tier covers up to 500 accounts, with a setup fee of $1,500 to $6,000 depending on plan.
  • Revenue share: annual cost = percentage × the base the vendor names (gross sales, net revenue or net profit). The cost rises with sales, and the base matters as much as the percentage.
  • One-time: PropExecutor's Basic plan costs $499 once for 250 accounts, with no recurring fee.

These totals are not like-for-like. FXPropTech's page lists an admin CRM, KYC tools and payment processing; PropExecutor includes none of those, so add the cost of separate CRM, checkout, KYC and payout tools to any PropExecutor total. Our guide to the full cost of running a prop firm platform walks through that calculation.

MetaTrader licensing and US rules

PropAccount says that MetaTrader integration requires separate licensing from MetaQuotes with substantial setup and ongoing fees, and that unauthorised shared servers carry compliance risks. The same PropAccount article says DXtrade and Match-Trader are fully compliant options for US-based clients. That is a vendor's own statement, and we have not verified it.

Platform licensing, licensing of the firm itself, consumer rules and payment rules differ by country and change over time. Treat any vendor's compliance claim as a starting point and get professional legal advice for your jurisdiction. Our overview of whether you need a licence to start a prop firm sets out the questions to ask.

Where other vendors are stronger than PropExecutor

  • Bundled business tools. Full-stack vendors bundle a trader CRM, storefront or checkout, KYC and payouts. PropExecutor does none of these, so a firm using it needs separate tools.
  • Vendor-funded payouts. PropSuite and PropAccount's White Label I describe models in which the firm does not carry payout liability. PropExecutor never pays traders.
  • Platform choice. Many full-stack vendors let a firm pick between MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade or TradeLocker.
  • Futures and desktop. Futures-platform integrations and desktop apps appear on other vendors' pages. PropExecutor runs in the browser and on Android.
  • Trader acquisition. cTrader lists challenge listings and leads on ctrader.com.

Where PropExecutor is stronger

  • Upfront cost. PropExecutor's Starter plan costs $129 once for 50 trading accounts, the lowest upfront price among the vendors that publish one, though those vendors include more layers. Fintatech's Starter tier is €0/month up to 50 accounts but carries a €1,000 to €3,000 setup fee by plan.
  • Flat cost per account. Every PropExecutor trading account uses one credit whatever its size, so a $5K and a $200K evaluation cost the firm the same, and credits never expire.
  • Rules on every tick. The PropExecutor rule engine checks each account's rules on every price tick, and versioned rule sets let a firm change rules for new accounts without touching running ones.
  • Built-in dashboard and API. Each terminal includes a prop dashboard, and a REST and WebSocket API comes on every plan. Our piece on open versus closed prop firm platforms explains why API access matters.
  • Raw spreads. Orders fill against live cTrader prices with raw spreads in simulated accounts. PropExecutor is not a broker and does not place real orders on a market.

Red flags when choosing a provider

  • No written quote. Get the setup fee, recurring fee, overage and any revenue share in writing before you sign.
  • Undefined revenue share. Check whether a share is taken on gross sales, net revenue or net profit.
  • Unclear payout liability. Confirm who carries payout liability and who owns trader data.
  • No exit route. Ask how you would export accounts and traders if you later move vendor.
  • Unverified claims. Do not rely on self-reported client counts or compliance claims without your own checks.

Our buyer's checklist for choosing a prop firm platform turns these checks into questions to put to each vendor, and our vendor-by-vendor comparison pages go deeper on individual platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Which prop firm software includes KYC, payouts and checkout?
Among vendor pages checked on 3 October 2026, YourPropFirm, Propriotec, Swiset and Hashcodex list KYC and payouts, and Swiset also lists checkout. Fintatech lists KYC with payouts in its back office, and TradeSmarter lists KYC tools and automated payouts. PropExecutor includes none of these and works alongside separate tools.
Can I start a prop firm without buying a CRM?
Yes. A firm can run on a trading terminal and rule engine and use separate tools for selling challenges, KYC and payouts. PropExecutor works this way: the firm creates traders and accounts in its admin panel and issues logins, while sign-ups and payments happen outside the platform. Full-stack vendors bundle the CRM instead.
How long does it take to launch a prop firm on new software?
Launch time depends on company setup, payments, legal review and each vendor's onboarding, not only the software. PropFirmsTech, a vendor not in our tables, states a 14-day launch on its own site; that is its claim and unverified. With PropExecutor the firm builds nothing to launch, but the business setup still takes its own time.
