You can start a prop firm for free with PropExecutor. Sign up with your email, build your first challenge, brand your trading terminal and hand real accounts to real traders, all before you pay anything. When you are ready to grow, you pick a plan with one payment and everything you built carries over. This guide walks through each step.
Why start a prop firm for free
Most founders already know their angle. You might run a trading community, a Discord or a signals group, and your members keep asking how to get funded. What you do not have yet is proof that your version of a prop firm works.
That proof does not come from a pitch deck. It comes from putting a real terminal in front of real traders and watching what happens. PropExecutor's free trial exists so you can get that proof first and pay later.
What you get on the PropExecutor free trial
| What you need | On the free trial |
|---|---|
| Your own firm in the admin panel | Yes |
| A server name your traders log in with | Yes |
| The rule builder with the core rules | Yes |
| Your firm name, logo and accent colour on the terminal | Yes |
| Real trading accounts for real traders | Yes |
| Live market prices and full chart history | Yes |
| A card or payment up front | Not needed |
Step 1: Sign up to PropExecutor with your email
Go to PropExecutor and click "Start free". Enter your email and your name. That is it. No card, no company details, no long form.
Your firm name and server name come next, inside the setup wizard, once you are actually building.
Step 2: Name your firm and choose your server name
The PropExecutor setup wizard starts with your firm's identity. You give it a name and choose the server name your traders will type when they log in.
Traders sign in to the PropExecutor terminal with an Account Number, a Password and a Server, the same three fields they know from other trading platforms. A familiar login makes a new firm feel established from the first day.
Step 3: Build your first challenge
Open the PropExecutor rule builder and set up the evaluation your traders will take. The free trial includes the core rules most firms launch with:
- Daily loss limit
- Maximum loss limit
- Profit target
- Minimum trading days
Each rule can breach the account, reject the order, or flag it for you to review. Many firms start with flags, watch how traders behave, then tighten.
The PropExecutor rule engine judges every account on every price tick, not on a timer. A trader who hits the daily loss limit is judged at that exact moment.
Rule sets are versioned too. When you change your rules, accounts already trading keep the exact version they started with. Nobody's goalposts move mid-challenge.
Step 4: Choose your account sizes
Pick the account sizes you want to offer, such as $5K, $10K or $25K. With PropExecutor, the simulated starting balance does not change what an account costs, so you can offer the sizes your traders want.
Step 5: Put your brand on the terminal
On the free trial you can show your firm's name, your logo and your accent colour on the PropExecutor trading terminal. Traders log in and see your brand.
On the paid plans you can go further with full white-label branding, including the login screen and support links, and on Growth, hiding the PropExecutor badge.
Step 6: Hand out your first accounts
Create trading accounts in the PropExecutor admin panel. Add each trader as a simple record, a name and an email, assign an account and send the login.
Your traders get the full PropExecutor terminal:
- Live prices on forex, gold, silver, oil, indices, Bitcoin and Ethereum
- A price chart with history back to 2000 for FX and metals
- An order ticket, positions and trade history
- A live view of how close they are to each rule
Orders are simulated against live market prices. See every part of it on the PropExecutor features page.
Step 7: Watch, learn and adjust
Use the trial to learn what your firm should look like. Are traders hitting the daily loss limit on day one? Is the profit target too easy? Are they logging in at all?
When an account breaches, PropExecutor shows you which rule ended it and why. To give a trader a fresh start, reassign the account or rotate the password, and any old session ends immediately.
When you move to a paid plan
You pay once you know your firm works. PropExecutor plans are one-time payments:
| Plan | One payment | Trading accounts |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $129 | 50 |
| Basic | $499 | 250 |
| Growth | $1,799 | 1,250 |
There is no setup fee, no monthly platform fee and no revenue share. Account credits never expire. When you upgrade from the trial, your rules, branding, challenges and traders all carry over, so nothing is rebuilt. Later upgrades cost only the price difference between plans, and unused credits come with you.
