How to Start a Prop Firm in India Under $250

You have about $250 (about ₹21,000) and you want to launch a prop firm in India. Good news: the platform is the smallest part of the plan, and it is already inside your budget. The Starter plan is $129 (about ₹12,500), paid once. That leaves about $121 (about ₹11,700) from a $250 budget for your own brand work, your website and your first marketing.

This page shows what the $129 (about ₹12,500) plan gives you, what it costs per account in rupees, how fast you can launch, and when to move up a plan.

What $250 buys on day one

A few hundred US dollars is a small launch budget in India. It is enough to put a branded firm in front of traders. Here is how the money splits.

ItemCost
Starter plan, 50 trading accounts$129 (about ₹12,500), one time
Left from a $250 (about ₹21,000) budgetabout $121 (about ₹11,700)
Monthly platform fee$0
Setup fee$0

There is no setup fee, no monthly platform fee and no revenue share. You pay once and the platform is yours to run. The rest of your budget stays with you for your own site and marketing.

What the $129 plan gives a founder

Starter is a one-time payment for 50 trading accounts. That works out to $2.58 per account (about ₹250). Credits never expire. Each trading account uses one credit permanently, and breaching or archiving an account does not refund it, so plan your first 50 accounts as 50 real buyers.

On the platform side you get:

  • A branded web trading terminal at trade.propexecutor.com. Traders log in with Account Number, Password and Server.
  • A watchlist, a price chart with history back to 2000 for FX and metals, an order ticket, positions, history and a live view of each account's rule headroom.
  • Live prices for 50+ instruments: forex majors, crosses and exotics, gold, silver, palladium, oil, natural gas, 12 stock indices, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
  • A rule engine that judges every account on every price tick, not on a timer.
  • An admin panel to create up to 100 accounts at once, assign and reassign traders, rotate passwords and view analytics.
  • REST API access with an API key, included on every plan.
  • Webhooks for breaches and passes, and a WebSocket API for real-time account events.
  • Cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, built to scale with your traders, from the $129 (about ₹12,500) plan.

Orders are simulated against live market prices. PropExecutor is a simulator, so your traders practise on realistic prices and your rules decide who passes. See the full feature list for the details.

The traders you can serve from India

Retail trading is a large and growing habit in India. One source cites more than 130 million demat accounts by early 2024 as a sign of the surge. Indian programme guides list forex pairs, gold and silver, indices, oil and crypto. The same instruments are in the PropExecutor live feed, so your traders find what they already watch.

Most of these traders work around a day job. India runs on IST, and one guide gives the London session as about 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm IST and the New York session as about 6:30 pm to 3:30 am IST. The London and New York overlap falls in the evening, so traders can take your challenge after work. English is the working language of Indian trading sites, so your terminal and login screen fit the market as they are.

What Starter limits mean for a first launch

Starter gives you 3 rule sets with 6 rules each, using core rules. The rule list includes daily loss limit, maximum loss limit, profit target, trailing drawdown, minimum trading days, max open positions, max lot size, hedging, orders per day and inactivity. Each rule can breach the account, reject the order or flag it.

Rule sets are versioned. An account keeps the exact rule version it was created with, so editing a rule set later never changes accounts you already sold.

Branding on Starter covers your firm name, dark logo and accent colour. Basic adds full branding. Growth also hides the PropExecutor badge. The terminal can run on your own domain, so it looks like your firm from the first login. For one or two challenge types, Starter is a clean first launch. Read more on white-label options.

How fast you can launch

The setup is short. You pick a plan, add your branding, create a rule set and create accounts in the admin panel, up to 100 at a time. Our guide to launching a prop firm in 48 hours walks through the weekend setup, and the branded launch guide shows how a firm goes live in a day.

A trader record is just a name and an email. Traders never sign up with PropExecutor. Your backend can assign an account to a buyer over the API by name and email. Accounts are created in the admin panel, and the API then assigns them. If a password needs changing, rotating it ends every live terminal session for that account at once.

Basic$499 (about ₹48,300)250$2.00 (about ₹194)
Growth$1,799 (about ₹174,000)1,250$1.44 (about ₹139)

Upgrading costs the price difference between plans and adds the account difference. Unused credits carry over. You can also buy top-up packs of 100, 500 or 1,000 accounts at your plan's per-account rate.

The simulated starting balance of an account, whether $5K or $100K, does not change its cost. One account is one credit.

Basic gives 15 rule sets with 15 rules each, advanced rules and 5 custom rules per set. Growth gives unlimited rule sets and custom rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is $250 enough to launch a prop firm in India?
Yes. The Starter plan is $129 (about ₹12,500), paid once, for 50 trading accounts. That leaves about $121 (about ₹11,700) of a $250 (about ₹21,000) budget for your own site and marketing. There is no setup fee, no monthly platform fee and no revenue share.
What does the $129 plan include?
Starter gives you 50 trading accounts, the branded web terminal, live prices for 50+ instruments, the rule engine, the admin panel and REST API access with an API key. It is a one-time payment with no monthly platform fee and no revenue share.
What does each account cost in rupees?
Starter works out to $2.58 per account, about ₹250. Basic is $2.00 per account, about ₹194, and Growth is $1.44, about ₹139. The starting balance of the simulated account, whether $5K or $100K, does not change the price.
Is PropExecutor a broker?
No. PropExecutor is a simulator. Orders are simulated against live market prices, and nothing is routed to a broker, exchange or liquidity provider. Your firm runs the challenge rules, and the platform judges every account on every price tick.
What happens to credits when an account breaches?
Each trading account uses one credit permanently. Credits never expire, but breaching or archiving an account does not refund its credit. So 50 credits means 50 accounts in total. You can add more with top-up packs of 100, 500 or 1,000 accounts.
When should I upgrade from Starter?
Upgrade when you outgrow 50 accounts or the Starter rule limits. It costs the price difference between plans and adds the account difference, and unused credits carry over. Basic is $499 (about ₹48,300) for 250 accounts, and Growth is $1,799 (about ₹174,000) for 1,250.
Can I automate account assignment on the cheapest plan?
Yes. The REST API with an API key is included on every plan. You create accounts in the admin panel, up to 100 at a time, then your backend assigns them to buyers by name and email over the API. Webhooks tell your systems when an account breaches or passes.
Can I try the terminal before choosing a plan?
Yes. A live demo account is available on the website for anyone to try. Open it to see the terminal, with its watchlist, chart, order ticket and positions, then decide which plan fits your launch.
How much of the terminal can I brand on Starter?
Starter branding covers your firm name, dark logo and accent colour. Basic adds full branding, including login screen and support links. Growth also hides the PropExecutor badge. On every plan, the branded terminal can run on your own domain.
Which instruments can my Indian traders trade?
The terminal carries live prices for forex majors, crosses and exotics, gold, silver, palladium, oil, natural gas, 12 stock indices, Bitcoin and Ethereum. That covers 50+ instruments, the same markets Indian traders look for in funded programmes.
